When certain accounting information changes in QuickBooks, the updated information needs to be transferred to PB Remote and then imported into PropertyBoss. Completing both steps helps ensure the information in QuickBooks, PB Remote, and PropertyBoss remains consistent and reduces the likelihood of interface errors.

When Should You Complete an Export and Import?

Complete this process when you make changes in QuickBooks to information such as:

  1. Account names
  2. Bank account numbers
  3. Other accounting setup information that also needs to be reflected in PropertyBoss

These changes should always be made in QuickBooks first. Once the changes are complete, use the steps below to bring the updated information into PropertyBoss.

Note: You do not need to complete this process when changing check numbers in QuickBooks.

Step 1: Export the Updated Information from QuickBooks to PB Remote

  1. Log in to the appropriate QuickBooks company file.
  2. Open PB Remote.
  3. Click Export Setup for Remote.
  4. Follow the prompts to export the updated QuickBooks information to the PB Remote setup files.
  5. Once the export is complete, continue to Step 2.

Step 2: Import the Updated Information into PropertyBoss

  1. Open PropertyBoss.
  2. Click General Ledger.
  3. Select the Accounting Files tab.
  4. Click Import from QuickBooks.
  5. Follow the prompts to import the updated information from the PB Remote setup files.
  6. Once the import is complete, PropertyBoss has been updated with the information exported from QuickBooks.

IMPORTANT! Remember the order of the process:

.

Make the change in QuickBooks → Export Setup for Remote in PB Remote → Import from QuickBooks in PropertyBoss

.

Following this order helps keep the accounting information consistent between QuickBooks and PropertyBoss.
