Assessments & Proration 

Association assessments are treated similarly to recurring charges, defined through:

  • Def‑Repeating,
  • or unit/property‑level repeating charge definitions depending on how the portfolio is configured.

Assessment logic relies on:

  • scheduled posting frequency (monthly, quarterly, annual),
  • start and end dates,
  • and proration settings.

Proration rules follow the same structure used in non‑monthly leases, as described in recurring charges and billing examples.


Association AP Workflow 

Associations share the same AP processing workflow as rental properties:

  • Vendor bills,
  • Credit memos,
  • Repairs,
  • Surcharges,
  • And approval routing.

Association AP also uses:

  • AP History for full audit trails,
  • Vendor notebooks,
  • Supervisor approval limits,
  • and integration with QuickBooks.


Association‑Related Reports 

Association operations rely on the core financial and membership‑related reports used elsewhere in PropertyBoss, including:

  • A165 Income/Expense 12‑Month Report
  • A166 Property Revenue Report
  • A220 PM Profit/Loss Statement
  • A222 PM Profit/Loss by Property

These reports support:

  • assessment tracking,
  • owner/member reporting,
  • compliance,
  • and year‑end summaries.


Additional Notes
