As we move through 2026, our focus continues to make PropertyBoss more efficient, secure, and easier to use in your daily operations. Q2 was a foundational quarter with meaningful progress behind the scenes and visible improvements across the platform.


But first... Welcome!

We are excited to share that Sara Hinson has joined Inhabit as Senior Vice President of Platform Operations. In this role, she provides leadership and oversight across platform operations, including strategic planning and the future direction of PropertyBoss within the Inhabit ecosystem. Sara brings a strong background in the property management industry and a deep understanding of the customer experience, with a focus on listening, supporting teams, and delivering exceptional results for clients. We look forward to the impact her leadership will bring and the continued growth and innovation across PropertyBoss.


What We Accomplished in Q2

  • Final Transition to PropertyBoss Online - All clients are now accessing PropertyBoss through PB Online, and the transition away from PropertyHost is complete.

  • Platform and Infrastructure Improvements - Key system components have been restructured to run in more secure environments, improving stability and performance. Work is ongoing to retire legacy systems and simplify how users access and interact with PropertyBoss.

  • Client Experience and Support - Offered expanded webinar training series covering reporting, payments, maintenance, and daily workflows. We increased our focus on self-service resources and education through the Resource Portal.

  • ePremium in the Resident Portal: ePremium Insurance is now available in the Resident Portal, allowing tenants to view and manage policies directly within PropertyBoss.

  • All-in Pricing Advertisement: All-in pricing improves transparency during the rental search by showing the total monthly cost upfront, not just base rent, in the Listings Portal. This helps prospective renters better understand costs before applying and sets clear expectations from the start.


Coming Next

  • New Product Releases - A new integration will allow residents to build credit by reporting on-time rent payments, supporting stronger financial habits. Initial release is planned following Q2. 

  • Payment Experience Improvements - Continued rollout of updated payment solutions. Focus on simplifying merchant setup and improving transaction visibility.

  • Performance and Stability Enhancements - Continued infrastructure upgrades to improve speed, reliability, and long-term scalability, along with enhancements to core features based on client feedback.


Future 2026 Initiatives

  • QuickBooks Online Integration: A seamless connection to QuickBooks Online is underway to support improved financial management, while continuing to support the QuickBooks desktop version.
  • Identity Verification: Introduction of two-factor identity verification to enhance account security for all users.

Special Announcement: PropertyBoss Standalone End of Access

PropertyBoss Standalone access will be discontinued on December 31, 2026. We are actively working with clients to ensure a smooth transition well in advance of this deadline.

  • If you are currently using a standalone version of PropertyBoss, meaning a version saved directly to your computer or server and not accessed through PropertyBoss Online, it is important to take action now. After December 31, 2026, this version will no longer be accessible, and any data stored within it will not be available.
  • A common example of standalone usage is maintaining an older database for historical reference.
