Asset Overview
The Assets Tab appears at:
- Property level for single-unit properties
- Unit level for multi-unit properties
It tracks:
- Appliances
- Equipment
- Fixtures
- Any assigned items tied to a property or unit
You may view:
- Current assets (assigned to the unit/property now)
- All assets (full historical record)
Asset Assignment and Movement
Use Move Asset(s) to:
- Assign assets to the property/unit
- Transfer assets between units
- Transfer assets between properties
- Return assets to storage
The movement screen allows PMs to define:
- Where the asset is going
- Why it is moving
- Effective dates
Asset History
The History panel displays a complete log of the asset's usage and movement.
History includes:
- Created timestamp
- User
- Lease Start Date related to the log
- Reason Name (system-generated)
- Asset Type
- Asset ID
- Asset Description
- Work Orders tied to the asset
- Repair costs
- Storage Location
- Estimated Return Date
Additional filters:
- Include Work Order History
- Include non-individually tracked items
- Asset Type filter
- Advanced filter button for column-based filtering
Asset Filtering and Display Tools
Assets may be viewed using the Display dropdown:
- Current
- All
Vertical Divider Tool
A gray vertical divider lets you:
- Keep certain columns visible
- Scroll horizontally while locking important fields
Asset Workflow with Work Orders
When viewing asset history, PMs may check:
- Include Work Order History
This merges all work orders linked to the asset, providing a complete maintenance timeline.
Where Assets Appear
Asset tracking appears in:
- Unit Notebook for multi-unit properties
- Property Notebook for single-unit properties
Additional Notes
- The system logs every movement and change to the asset record.
- Work orders tied to an asset appear directly in the asset history.
- Storage location and estimated return dates assist with inventory control.
