PropertyBoss Online (PB Online) supports individual media uploads up to 20 MB. If your file is larger than this limit, it must be compressed before uploading to your user inbox.
Windows
- Locate the file on your computer.
- Right-click the file.
- Select Send to.
- Choose Compressed zipped folder.
- A new zip file will be created in the same location.
- Upload the zip file to PropertyBoss Online.
Mac
- Locate the file in Finder.
- Control-click or right click the file.
- Select Compress.
- A compressed zip file will appear in the same folder.
- Upload the zip file to PB Online.
Additional Notes
- Only upload the compressed zip file.
- If the compressed file is still over 20 MB, reduce the file size further by lowering image quality or splitting the content into multiple files.
- Common file types that can be compressed include PDF, image, and document files.
- Once uploaded, the compressed file can be attached to a property, unit, lease, or tenant record like any other media file.
Splitting Large Files Into Smaller Parts
If your file is still larger than 20 MB after compression, you will need to split it into smaller files before uploading.
Splitting PDF Files
- Open the PDF using a PDF editor or preview application.
- Use the option to extract or save selected pages.
- Save the pages as separate PDF files under 20 MB each.
Splitting Image Files
- Open the image using an image editor.
- Reduce image quality or resolution if available.
- Save multiple smaller image files instead of one large file.
Splitting Other File Types
For documents or large data files, you may use file compression tools that support multi-part zip creation. These tools allow you to divide a large file into several smaller zip files, each under 20 MB, which can then be uploaded.
Additional Notes
- Only upload files that are under 20 MB.
- Once uploaded, files can be attached to properties, units, leases, or tenant records like any other media item.
