Summary:
PropertyBoss Online is a secure, web-based property management platform for staff members, offering centralized access, document handling, and integration with the PropertyBoss Hosted RDP program. Access is controlled by permissions, and while PB Online is not replacing PropertyBoss, it is becoming the required gateway to PropertyBoss for all users. Tenants and owners do not have access, and administrators must ensure users have the correct permissions to log in.


What is PropertyBoss Online?

PropertyBoss Online (PB Online) is a modern, web-based platform designed for property management professionals to streamline operations, centralize data, and provide flexible access to key management tools. It is accessed at https://online.propertyboss.net and functions as a Progressive Web Application (PWA), meaning it can be installed on desktops or mobile devices for an app-like experience.


Access & Permissions:

  • Not all users can log in to PropertyBoss through PB Online by default. Access is controlled by permission settings managed by administrators in PropertyBoss. Only staff members with the correct permissions can use PB Online; tenants and owners do not have access.
  • During the rollout period, users can log in to PropertyBoss using either the PropertyHost website or PB Online. Once PropertyHost is retired, all users must log in through PB Online.


Difference between PropertyBoss and PB Online:

  • PropertyBoss is the software you use for your daily operations. 
    • PropertyBoss requires a remote desktop connection and is not fully web-based, meaning it cannot be used on mobile devices.
    • This does mean you still need a desktop/laptop computer to log into PropertyBoss. 
  • PB Online is a web-based platform (not a portal, not a website) that provides basic access to some information in PropertyBoss. You cannot use PB Online for daily operations.  
    • PB Online is 100% web-based and accessible from any device with an internet connection. 
    • Imagine, you are at the airport without your laptop. An emergency arises and you have to notify the tenant in 202 of the issue. Log into PB Online to find the tenant's email and phone number. 


Transition from PropertyHost (https://propertyhost.propertyboss.net/PropertyHost/):

  • All administrative features and user management previously handled in PropertyHost are moving to PB Online. If you could do or see it in PropertyHost before, you will be able to do and see it in PB Online.
  • Once PropertyHost is retired, all users must use PB Online to access PropertyBoss. PB Online serves as the login page for PropertyBoss and offers additional features for those who need them.
