A New Season for PropertyBoss: Moving to PB Online

Just like the change of seasons, PropertyBoss is preparing for a fresh start. Before the end of this year, all clients will begin signing into PropertyBoss through PB Online. With this new season, the long-standing PropertyHost website will be retired.

What does this mean for you?

As with swapping summer clothes for cozy sweaters, you’ll want to make sure you’re ready for the shift. To keep accessing PropertyBoss, you’ll need to log in through PB Online.

What’s changing?

All the tools and functionality you’ve relied on in PropertyHost will move to PB Online, including:

New user creation
Message management
Program downloads
Launching PropertyBoss

Looking ahead:

Today’s updates pave the way for tomorrow’s enhancements. Soon, we’ll be able to introduce Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for added security. Here’s how you can prepare:

Each user will need a unique, active email address (no shared, fake, or placeholder accounts).
These addresses will be used to receive 2FA login instructions.
While 2FA isn’t required yet, forward-thinkers can begin updating user accounts now. Until retired, email updates will need to take place in PropertyHost and then in PropertyBoss.

Just like progressing through the seasons, this transition is about growth and renewal. We’re excited for you to experience a PropertyBoss that’s more secure, efficient, and ready for the future.

Preparing for PB Online

To keep accessing PropertyBoss, you’ll need to log in through PB Online. If you don’t already have access, you or your company administrator can set this up under:

Setup Preferences > Security Settings > Create Users & Assign Security/Permissions

On the Add-On Modules tab, there is a permission setting called Web Portal–Site Admin. This must be checked for a user to log in to PB Online. Please note: we are updating the name of this setting so it references PB Online and not the old Site Admin Portal. For now, this is the name of the setting needed so users can login to PB Online.

To log in to PB Online, use one of the following :

Username: three-letter prefix + username -OR- email* address
Password: same one you use today
*If an email account is in use by more than one user profile, users will have to use their three-letter prefix + username until all user profiles for their company contain unique email addresses.

By taking a few minutes now to make these updates, you’ll be ready for a smooth transition as we move into this next season of PropertyBoss.

Note: If you don’t see the option listed above, it means you don’t currently have permission to update your settings. In this case, your company administrator will need to make the update on your behalf. For security reasons, PropertyBoss can only update permission settings with written consent from your company administrator.

Sounds complicated! What do I really need to know?

Users will STOP going to https://propertyhost.propertyboss.net/PropertyHost and will no longer click the green Connect button to open PropertyBoss.
